Why would you say you are intrigued by fashion?

I can be myself. I’m an observer. I look at different things, analyze and internalize what I see. You don’t have to talk to express your fashion sense, lord knows I’m not a talker at all. My personality is quiet and shy but by my fashion sense would have you think I’m the loudest, boldest most secure person in the room. Fashion is something that has always been and will always be, its transcendence through time is really interesting. I love how trends come back and forth through decades, it’s almost cyclical.

What are some current projects you're working on?

Just expanding #monotonemonday as a trend in general. I want to keep expressing my styling ideas and growing the overall buzz around #monotonemonday by doing creative photoshoots. Maybe start exploring clothing brand ideas.

What are your short term or long term goals with your creativity?

Short term would be to finally start a fashion based Youtube Channel, 2017 hopefully I will be ready to launch! Long term would be to intern at a magazine company such as Paper, Instyle, Seventeen, or Complex. I want to be a social media influencer  and celebrity stylist! It really wasn't until I got to Baruch that I realized I was confident enough to say I want to have a career in fashion, so I have a lot of growth to do.

What are some of your favorite brands and why?

My go to stores are Zara, H&M and Bloomingdales (the sale rack of course).  Zara and H&M are just amazing with their ability to set trends and stay relevant to pop culture for affordable prices. Bloomingdale's has such a wide selection of brands it is impossible to not find something to buy in that department store. Also shoutout to Nike, and I’m not just saying that because I am a current employee but I really admire the way the have branded the swoosh and expanded their focus of apparel to not only running and training but to lifestyle clothing too. But I also like to go thrifting a lot, balling on a budget.

If you had one thing you can tell your audience, what would it be?

You do not always have to be the loudest in the room to be heard! Seriously though, fashion has taught me to be humble and secure in my shyness. I make moves whenever it feels right. Broadcasting every move you make through a megaphone is unnecessary. If you are doing the right thing, people will give you respect and props. “Real G’s move in silence like lasagna” - Lil Wayne
